Supervisor Utility

About the role

PT. VVF Indonesia is seeking a Supervisor Utility to join our operations team in KIM 2 Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. This is a contract position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing utility operations within our manufacturing and logistics facility. As Supervisor Utility, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe and compliant operation of all utility systems that support our production environment. This role is essential to maintaining operational continuity and supporting our manufacturing objectives.

Key responsibilities

1. Having experiences minimum 3 years as Boiler Supervisor in Oleochemicals Industry.

2. Supervise and coordinate daily utility operations including water, electricity, compressed air and waste management systems

3. The Utilities Department plays a role in providing and capabilities through handling such as Boiler, processing raw water and boiler feed water through WTP and Softener, processing liquid waste through ETP, providing compressed air through Compressors, and providing Nitrogen (N2) gas for safety and process stability needs.

4. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance schedules to ensure all utility systems operate at optimal performance levels

5. Manage preventative and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating with maintenance teams and external contractors as required

6. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards and company policies related to utility operations

7. Train and develop utility staff, providing guidance on operational procedures and safety protocols

8. Prepare and maintain accurate records of utility consumption, maintenance activities and incidents

9. Respond to utility emergencies and coordinate immediate corrective actions to minimise operational disruption

10. Liaise with relevant departments to communicate utility requirements and address any operational concerns

11. Implement and monitor utility-related cost reduction initiatives and sustainability programmes

What we're looking for

1. Must at least be D3-S1 University graduate majoring in Chemicals/Process Engineering or Mechanical.

2. Strong knowledge of utility systems including electrical, water, compressed air and waste management

3. Demonstrated understanding of environmental and safety regulations applicable to Oleochemicals Industrial Operations.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team

5. Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in troubleshooting technical issues

6. Proficiency in basic computer systems for record-keeping and data analysis

7. Relevant technical certification or qualification in utility Management or Industrial operations (preferred)

8. Experience with utility cost Management and sustainability initiatives (preferred)
