Job Description:
Prepare and produce pastry items such as cakes, tarts, breads, viennoiserie, chocolates, plated desserts,and other sweet items as assigned.
Assist the Chef de Partie – Pastry in daily operations and ensure all mise en place is ready before service.
Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry workstations, equipment, and storage areas in compliancewith hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
Support in the development of new pastry menu items and seasonal specials.
Assist in stock control by monitoring inventory and reporting shortages to the Chef de Partie – Pastry.
Train and guide Commis Chefs and interns in pastry techniques and procedures when required.
Ensure smooth communication and coordination with the broader kitchen team for timely service.
Uphold high standards of product quality, consistency, and creativity in line with the brand’s culinaryvision
