Engineering Manager

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in building scalable, reliable, and high-performance data acquisition solutions. You'll drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, improve engineering processes, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade products for global clients.

This role combines technical leadership with people management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while helping teams grow.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.

• Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with business goals and product strategy.

• Design and oversee scalable, secure, and maintainable backend architectures.

• Drive the development and optimization of high-performance data acquisition and web scraping systems.

• Conduct code reviews and technical design reviews to ensure engineering best practices and code quality.

• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

• Manage engineering priorities, project timelines, and technical execution to ensure successful delivery.

• Improve engineering processes, development workflows, CI/CD, and operational efficiency.

• Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability while proactively resolving technical challenges.

• Communicate technical progress, risks, and solutions with internal stakeholders and enterprise clients.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams or managing software projects.or serving as a Tech Lead/Engineering Manager.

• Strong experience with backend development using Node.js, Go, Python, Java, or similar technologies.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and scalable backend development.

• Experience designing and maintaining cloud-based applications (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.

• Strong understanding of databases, caching, and message queue systems.

• Excellent problem-solving and technical decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Willing to learn and grow professionally.

• Willing to work full on-site in Bandung.

Nice To Have:

• Experience building large-scale web scraping or browser automation systems.

• Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

• Understanding of proxy management, browser fingerprinting, CAPTCHA handling, and anti-bot strategies.

• Experience processing high-volume data pipelines.

• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.

• Previous experience working with enterprise clients.

• Experience leading engineering teams in a startup or high-growth technology company.
