The Opportunity

We're looking for a Software Engineer to help build and scale the services that power Voca's growing commerce ecosystem. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to develop backend services, APIs, and internal platforms that support payments, wallet services, digital distribution, and other core business systems. You'll have the opportunity to work on real-world engineering challenges, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow your technical skills while helping shape products used by millions of users..

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to deliver new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems.
• Contribute to system reliability, observability, and performance improvements.
• Learn and apply engineering best practices across development and operations.
• Continuously improve your technical knowledge and contribute to team success.

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang), Java, Node.js, or another modern backend programming language.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, data structures, and system design principles.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience using Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and continuously improve.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Go (Golang).
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience building payment, gaming, e-commerce, or fintech products
