Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Legal & Risk Head to lead Baskit's legal, compliance, and enterprise risk functions. This role will serve as a strategic business partner, ensuring the company operates within legal and regulatory frameworks while proactively managing business risks to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all legal, compliance, and risk activities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Advise management on legal, regulatory, and business risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, corporate governance, and internal policies.
• Manage litigation, disputes, debt recovery, and external legal counsel.
• Support fundraising, banking, insurance, and strategic corporate transactions.
• Partner with Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Product teams on legal and risk matters.
• Coordination for Corporate secretarial matters, including board resolution, statutory filings, and governance compliance.
• Provide legal support for new market expansion, business licensing, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Law; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in legal, compliance, and/or risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in commercial contracts, corporate law, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management.
• Hands-on experience managing litigation, disputes, and external legal counsel.
• Familiarity with banking documentation, debt recovery, and corporate transactions is highly preferred.
• Experience in startups, technology, FMCG, distribution, logistics, or high-growth businesses is a strong advantage.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
• Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
