Key Responsibilities
- Achieve annual order intake, revenue, margin, and market share targets for gas gensets, CHP, and related services in the Philippines.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan per segment (captive power, IPP, industrial, commercial & data centers, F&B, utilities) aligned with group objectives and guidelines.
- Lead, coach, and performance?manage the sales team, including setting objectives, monitoring pipelines, and driving continuous skills and product training.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, developers, EPC contractors, consultants, regulators, and financing partners to ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Work closely with OEM’s regional teams and internal departments (applications/engineering, service, projects, finance) to structure winning technical?commercial offers and deliver full?scope solutions.
- Use CRM tools to manage opportunity pipelines, forecast orders and revenue, and provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to senior management.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, fuel/energy price developments, and competitor activities (e.g., other gas genset OEMs) to refine value propositions and pricing strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company ethics, compliance, HSE, and governance standards in all sales activities, including tenders and channel interactions.
- Support the development and performance of dealers/agents/partners involved in gensets sales (where applicable), including joint account planning and market development programs.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives in the Philippines (events, seminars, digital campaigns, reference site visits) to build a pipeline and strengthen the brand image.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field; MBA or business qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years of technical B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales management role in power generation, gas engines, rotating equipment, or related industrial capital equipment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets for high?value CAPEX projects in the Philippines or Southeast Asia.
- Strong understanding of gas engine / genset applications, CHP, and power solutions sales cycles (from pre?feasibility and specification through bid, negotiation, and closing).
- Experience working with or within OEM/dealer structures (preferably global manufacturers) is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to build a high?performing sales team and collaborative culture.
- Excellent customer?facing communication, negotiation, and closing skills, including C?level presentations and complex contract discussions.
- Solid technical aptitude to understand and credibly discuss gas genset configurations, performance, lifecycle costs, and commercial models with engineers and decision makers.
- Strategic thinking and data?driven approach, including use of CRM and sales analytics to manage funnels, hit?rates, and segment profitability.
- Strong business acumen, including understanding of project finance concepts, IPP/PPA structures, and energy cost benchmarking.
- High integrity, resilience, and ability to operate in a demanding, solution?selling environment with long sales cycles.
Role Location and Travel
- Based in Metro Manila (preferred), with frequent travel across the Philippines to customers, project sites, and partners.
- Occasional regional travel to Southeast Asia or regional offices for training, strategy, and alignment meetings.
