Senior Mechanical Engineer

PT Meinhardt Indonesia is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong mechanical design capability, especially in HVAC systems, mechanical calculations, and multi-discipline project coordination.

The candidate is expected to have solid experience in engineering design consultancy and be able to handle various project types, preferably including data centre, commercial building, high-rise, industrial, mixed-use, hotel, hospital, or other large-scale building projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical engineering design, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Carry out HVAC calculations, including cooling load, ventilation, duct sizing, pipe sizing, equipment selection, and system design.

• Review mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, technical submissions, material submittals, and vendor documents.

• Coordinate mechanical design with other disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architecture, structural, and BIM teams.

• Support project teams in resolving mechanical technical issues during design, tender, and construction stages.

• Ensure all mechanical design work complies with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and good engineering practice.

• Attend coordination meetings with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in design consultant or engineering consultancy company.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC design and calculation.

• Experience in data centre projects will be highly preferred.

• Experience in various project types such as commercial, high-rise, industrial, mixed-use, hotel, or hospital projects will be an advantage.

• Able to prepare and review mechanical calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

• Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, HAP, or other relevant mechanical design software.

• Good understanding of local and international mechanical design standards.

• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and as part of a multi-discipline project team.

• Good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Preferred Candidate

• Strong in mechanical design, not only site supervision or construction coordination.

• Strong in HVAC system concept, calculation, equipment selection, and technical coordination.

• Has experience working in consultancy, design engineering, or EPCM environment.

• Detail-oriented, technically strong, proactive, and able to work under project deadlines.
