Required Technical Skills:
3–4 years of experience in RPG development on IBM i (AS/400).
Strong knowledge of RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free Format RPG, CL Programming, and DB2 for i.
Experience with Embedded SQL and SQL programming.
Knowledge of IBM i system architecture and job management.
Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and application support.
Familiarity with source control and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Exposure to APIs, web services, or integration technologies is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.
Design, code, test, debug, and implement RPG-based applications.
Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand banking requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Support and maintain core banking applications and resolve production issues.
Perform impact analysis for enhancements and change requests.
Optimize existing programs for performance and maintainability.
Develop and maintain CL programs, SQL scripts, and database objects.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Prepare technical documentation for development and support activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during development, testing, and deployment.
