Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Architecture:
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary teams through high-pressure cycles, including global ERP rollouts and cloud transformations.
Architecture Roadmap: Define the strategy bridging synchronous APIs (Boomi) with asynchronous event-streaming (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
Data Stack Evolution: Oversee the transition and scaling of a modern Lakehouse (Medallion) architecture to support BI and AI/ML workloads.
Stakeholder Orchestration: Align executive strategy with technical execution; serve as the final technical arbiter for cross-functional data mapping disputes.
2. ERP Rollout & System Alignment:
Data Migration Strategy: Own the ETL/ELT strategy for data cleansing, transformation, and cutover of master and historical transactional data into the new ERP.
Data Governance & Integrity: Partner with platform owners (ERP, CRM, HRMS) and governance teams to enforce schema standards, mandatory field mapping, and prevent data corruption.
3. Hands-on Technical Execution (40%):
Code & Pipeline Engineering: Perform rigorous code reviews for Python/SQL data pipelines and optimize enterprise-scale PowerBI semantic models.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop Terraform or Bicep scripts to automate workload deployments within Azure Landing Zones.
L3 Escalation: Act as the ultimate troubleshooting tier for critical integration, connectivity, or mapping failures.
4. Middleware & Operations:
Integration Management: Direct the development of secure, high-availability integrations using Boomi iPaaS and API Management (APIM).
DevOps & Vendor Ownership: Enforce CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability while managing cloud and platform licensing (Azure, Boomi).
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience & Education:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Overall Experience: 10+ years in IT/Data roles, with at least 4 years leading multi-disciplinary teams.
ERP & Integration Track Record: Proven experience leading data operations for a large-scale ERP rollout (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and managing complex middleware projects across 4+ disparate systems.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Azure Mastery: 6–10 years of hands-on experience architecting end-to-end solutions within the Azure Data Stack. (Azure Architect/Data Engineer certifications highly desired).
The "Core Four": Practitioner-level expert in Python, SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Spark/Databricks.
Analytics Delivery: Advanced PowerBI optimization and complex DAX modeling skills.
B2B Integration Protocols: Mastery of B2B protocols (HTTP, AS2, SFTP, API) and data formats (EDIFACTS, X12, XML, JSON).
Architectural Frameworks: Deep understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), Event-Driven Architecture, and the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
