About the role
We are seeking a Project Sales Engineer (Paint Application Automation) to join our sales team in Cikarang Pusat, West Java. This is a full-time position based on-site at our Cikarang facility. As a Project Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by combining technical expertise with consultative selling. You will be responsible for identifying client needs, designing customised paint application automation solutions, and guiding projects from initial proposal through to successful implementation. This role bridges the gap between our engineering capabilities and customer requirements, making it essential to our business growth strategy.
Key responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial manufacturing sector, particularly among companies requiring paint application automation solutions
Conduct technical assessments and site visits to understand client requirements and operational challenges
Prepare comprehensive technical proposals and quotations tailored to specific client needs, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
Provide expert technical guidance during the sales process, explaining product features, capabilities and benefits to decision-makers and operational staff
Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and meet client specifications
Manage the complete project lifecycle, from initial contact through contract negotiation, installation support and project closure
Maintain detailed records of client interactions, proposals and project status using company CRM systems
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to identify additional opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction
Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows and networking events to promote company solutions and generate leads
Provide post-sale technical support and follow-up to ensure successful project implementation and client satisfaction
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a related discipline
3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial automation, manufacturing equipment or mechanical systems
Strong technical knowledge of paint application processes, spray systems, or automation equipment
Proven ability to translate technical specifications into clear, compelling sales proposals
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
