Job Overview

Our client is seeking a technically competent and customer-focused Sales Engineer to drive business growth across the assigned territory. This role is responsible for developing sales opportunities, strengthening relationships with distributors and end customers, providing engineering-based technical support, and delivering value-added solutions that enhance customer performance and reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with commercial acumen to support long-term business development within Indonesia's industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies in collaboration with the Area Manager to achieve sales growth objectives.

  • Drive sales of industrial products and services through close collaboration with distributors and direct engagement with end customers.

  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with distributors and key industrial customers within the assigned territory.

  • Deliver engineering-based sales solutions by understanding customer applications and recommending appropriate bearing and motion technology products.

  • Provide technical consultation, application support, and after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues by coordinating effective technical solutions and customer support.

  • Conduct regular site visits to assess equipment applications and recommend suitable bearing solutions.

  • Organize and conduct product presentations, technical training sessions, and promotional activities for distributors and end users.

  • Monitor market developments, customer requirements, and competitor activities, providing timely reports and market intelligence to management.

  • Support project opportunities by working closely with customers to identify technical requirements and develop tailored solutions that improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.

  • Experience working with heavy industries such as mining, metallurgy, wood processing, power generation, cement, steel, or other process industries.

  • Strong technical knowledge of rolling bearings, linear bearings, rotary equipment, and basic understanding of electrical direct drive systems.

  • Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or engineering support with a strong customer-oriented approach.

  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and a successful track record in achieving sales targets.

  • Well-established professional network within industrial sectors is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Organized, professional, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable preparing technical reports and presentations.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

  • Need and must be based in Manado, Makassar and Palembang.
