Assistant Superintendent Marine (Jakarta/Batam)

Task & Responsibilities:

• Ensure vessels fully comply with Class/Flag state regulations, International conventions, and internal ISM Code standards.

• Assist the DPA/A.DPA in implementing and maintaining compliance with ISM and ISPS code procedures.

• Conduct SIRE, SRC, Class, and Internal ISM Audits. Prepare effective responses and corrective actions for Observations/NCs.

• Ensure strict SOLAS compliance (LSA/FFA compliance to MSC.1 Circ.1432, MSC.402(96), and other latest updates).

• Training crew members on company ISM code and SMS manuals, ensure timely submission of all vessel reports.

• Prepare and submit comprehensive technical/compliance reports for managers and directors.

Qualifications:

• Polytechnic or University degree in a Maritime-related field from a reputable institution (Diplomas/Degrees in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering are highly preferred).

• Minimum of 2 years of working experience in marine audits and inspections, or as a Marine/Technical Superintendent.

• Core Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IMO, SOLAS, and MARPOL regulations.

  • Deep familiarity with the ISM Code, marine vetting, and engineering expertise.

  • Proven track record in performing SIRE, SRC, and Class survey audits.

• A strong team player who is adaptable, analytical, a logical thinker, and continuously willing to learn.
