Senior Android Developer (Banking Industry)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our team in the banking industry. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications while ensuring performance, security, and scalability to support digital banking services.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications with high performance and reliability.
Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders.
Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable application architecture.
Optimize application performance, security, and user experience.
Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely bug fixes.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies throughout the software development lifecycle.
Ensure applications comply with banking security and coding standards.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in Android application development.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack Components.
Strong understanding of MVVM architecture and Clean Architecture.
Experience with Jetpack Compose is highly preferred.
Proficient in REST API integration and JSON parsing.
Experience using Coroutines, Flow, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
Familiar with Room Database, SQLite, and local data storage.
Experience with Git version control.
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of application security, encryption, and secure coding practices.
Experience in publishing and maintaining applications on Google Play Store.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have
Previous experience in the Banking, Financial Services, or Fintech industry.
Experience integrating biometric authentication, OTP, or payment systems.
Familiarity with Firebase services (Crashlytics, Analytics, FCM).
Knowledge of OWASP Mobile Security standards.
Experience working in Agile environments.
