Junior Refrigeration Engineer

Job Description:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cold storage, freezer, chiller, air conditioning (AC), and refrigerated truck (reefer) systems.

• Monitor refrigeration equipment performance to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality within cold storage facilities.

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of refrigeration and HVAC systems.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, including refrigerant charging, component replacement, and system adjustments.

• Conduct routine inspections to minimize equipment downtime and improve operational reliability.

• Prepare maintenance reports, repair analyses, and recommendations for equipment improvement or replacement.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure maintenance activities are completed effectively.

• Review vendor quotations, monitor work quality, and provide recommendations related to refrigeration projects.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) or Diploma (D3) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, cold storage, or industrial maintenance are preferred.

• Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerants.

• Able to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Willing to work in a cold storage environment.
