Demand Planning: Analyze sales data to create weekly and monthly production targets.
Production Scheduling: Build the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to keep factory lines running smoothly.
Material Control: Create Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to order the exact ingredients and packaging needed.
Inventory Management: Track all raw materials and finished goods to stop shortages or overstocking.
Wastage Prevention: Focus on the FIFO rule. This means "First In, First Out." You ensure older ingredients are used first so food does not expire.
Capacity Planning: Check the maximum output of machines and workers to make sure goals are realistic.
Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with the Sales team, Purchasing, and the Factory to prevent delays.
Subcontractor Management: Track outside vendors who help with packaging or making extra product batches.
ERP/System Updating: Manage inventory software like SAP or Oracle so data stays correct in real-time.
Reporting & KPIs: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and report them to management.
