GM CSR & External Relation

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of corporate social responsibility, external relations, government affairs, community development, and corporate communications programs in alignment with corporate objectives.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, local authorities, community leaders, NGOs, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.

• Oversee stakeholder engagement activities, community development programs, and CSR initiatives to support sustainable community relations and positive social outcomes.

• Monitor political, regulatory, and social developments, assessing potential impacts and providing recommendations to management.

• Manage corporate communications activities, including media relations, public affairs, external communications, and stakeholder messaging.

• Lead the resolution of stakeholder issues, community concerns, and external challenges through effective engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving.

• Coordinate with Operations, HSE, Sustainability, Legal, and other internal functions to ensure successful execution of external relations and community initiatives.

• Lead, develop, and manage External Relations, Community Development, and Communications teams to deliver departmental objectives and performance targets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field; Master's degree is an advantage.

• Minimum 15–20 years of experience in corporate social responsibility, external relations, government affairs, community development, corporate communications, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within mining, energy, infrastructure, or natural resources sectors.

• Proven experience managing stakeholder engagement programs and building relationships with government, community, and industry stakeholders.

• Preven experience in designing and developing community development and empowerment programmes / PPM (Pengembangan dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat)

• Good knowledge of Indonesia’s regulatory, political, and socio-economic environment, particularly within the natural resources sector.

• Experience managing corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, and community communication initiatives.

• Strong project management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
