Automation Test Engineer – Insurance Domain
Philippines (Hybrid)
6-Month Contract (Extendable)
Local Philippines only
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
- Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios
- Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar tools
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Execute database validation and backend testing
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and support defect resolution activities
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test reports
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Scrum teams
- - Participate in Agile ceremonies and support release validation activities
- - Mentor junior QA team members and promote automation best practices

Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing with strong Automation expertise
- Hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or Cypress, TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber (BDD), Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
- Strong API testing experience using Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI, or Karate
- Experience with SQL and database validation
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience using Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, ALM, or similar tools
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the Insurance domain
- Strong understanding of policy lifecycle, claims, underwriting, billing, and insurance compliance processes
- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar insurance platforms is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certification
- Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience leading automation initiatives and mentoring QA teams
- Knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Testing practices
