Japanese Literature Lecturer

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Japanese Literature Lecturer to join our international faculty. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of global citizens by delivering high-quality education in an English-speaking academic environment. You will be responsible for balancing academic rigor with innovative teaching methods, contributing to the university’s research output, and engaging with the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Excellence: Plan, organize, and deliver engaging lectures, ensuring alignment with global academic standards and the established curriculum.

• Research & Innovation: Lead and contribute to scholarly research within the field, aiming for publication in reputable journals to advance the study program’s intellectual standing.

• Curriculum Development: Actively participate in the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the curriculum to keep it relevant to modern linguistic and cultural trends.

• Community Engagement: Represent the university through workshops, seminars, and training sessions, bridging the gap between academic theory and practical community needs.

• Administrative Contribution: Support the department in accreditation processes and adhere to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

General Requirements

• Academic Background: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Japanese Literature, Linguistics, Education, or a closely related field.

• Linguistic Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Japanese, with the ability to conduct all teaching and administrative duties fluently in English.

• Experience: 2–3 years of teaching experience is preferred; however, highly motivated fresh graduates with a strong academic record are encouraged to apply.

• Certification: JLPT N2 or N1 certification is highly advantageous.

• Institutional Alignment: Familiarity with the University Tri Dharma and national/international accreditation standards.
