Senior Purchasing Officer

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the entire import process and local purchases, including identifying suppliers, negotiating terms, and coordinating logistics

• Manage local procurement of office supplies, equipment and other materials to support daily operations

• Analyse market trends, supplier performance and pricing to optimise purchasing decisions

• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continuously identify new potential partners

• Implement robust inventory control systems to ensure adequate stock levels and minimise wastage

• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, logistics and other departments to align purchasing activities

• Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant regulations

• Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of the procurement team

What we're looking for

• Minimum 8 years' experience in purchasing, procurement or a related role, preferably within the manufacturing, logistics or similar industry

• Proven track record of successfully managing import and local purchasing operations

• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills with the ability to build strong relationships

• Proficient in data analysis, inventory management and cost optimisation

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to align purchasing strategies with business objectives

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with relevant procurement regulations and policies

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field

• Can work from Mondays through Saturdays

• Can start immediately
