Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, professional, and dedicated IGCSE, AS/A Level Science Teacher specializing in Biology and Chemistry to provide one-on-one home visit instruction for students following an International Curriculum. The teacher will deliver engaging and effective lessons that support students in developing strong scientific knowledge, analytical thinking skills, and achieving academic excellence in the IGCSE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one home visit Biology and Chemistry lessons for IGCSE, AS/A Level students.
• Prepare and deliver lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE, AS/A Level Biology and Chemistry syllabus and learning objectives.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, laboratory activities, and assessments tailored to the student's academic needs and learning pace.
• Support students in building a strong understanding of scientific concepts, theories, and practical applications.
• Guide students in examination techniques, problem-solving strategies, data interpretation, and critical thinking skills required for IGCSE examinations.
• Assist students in mastering experimental design, scientific investigations, and laboratory report writing.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly.
• Provide constructive feedback and communicate learning outcomes with parents.
• Prepare progress reports and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with parents and the academic team to ensure students achieve their academic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Science Education, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in Biology and/or Chemistry, preferably at the IGCSE level.
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE, AS/A Level Biology and Chemistry Curriculum is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of IGCSE, AS/A Level examination requirements and assessment standards.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Able to teach both Biology and Chemistry subjects effectively.
• Familiar with differentiated instruction and student-centered learning approaches.
• Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping students succeed academically.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Technology savvy and able to utilize digital learning resources effectively.
