Job Summary:
As purchaser, you will be responsible for managing all the general purchasing and arranging delivery goods schedule at the company site. Duties may include purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. You should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to identify best profitable offers .
Duties/Responsibilities:
Evaluate bids for materials, equipment and supplies and select vendors for goods and services
Purchase materials and equipment, develop vendor agreements, and establish relationships
Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, vendors, and contractors
Manage inventory, pricing, and process changes
Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely
Maintain appropriate filling systems for all documents, records, and report
Conduct research for new components and suppliers
Monitor supplier performance negotiate supplier contracts
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Ensuring that all legal requirements are met, including permits and licenses
Provide purchasing support through internal and external communication
Maximize profit margin
The candidate should have knowledge on local purchasing import knowledge and will be able to discuss it with HQ from Batam plant
Required Skills/Abilities:
Degree in Business administration or related field studies
At least 3-5 years as Purchaser role in general industry and ideally from Manufacturing industry
Able to communicate fluently in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationship with staff, stakeholders and suppliers
Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
Strong analytical skill
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices and understand supply chain procedures
Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations
Familiarity with ERP system is a plus
Positive mindset and Can Do Attitude
