Tunas Group is seeking an experienced Power System Lead to lead the design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's electrical power systems. This position is responsible for ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient power distribution across manufacturing facilities while leading engineering projects, troubleshooting critical electrical issues, and driving energy optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, operation, and maintenance of the company's electrical power distribution systems.
- Manage Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical infrastructure, including transformers, switchgear, substations, generators, UPS, and power distribution panels.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical power systems.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for power failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Oversee electrical system upgrades, expansion projects, and equipment commissioning.
- Conduct power system analysis, load flow studies, fault analysis, protection coordination, and power quality improvement.
- Ensure electrical systems comply with Indonesian regulations, IEEE, IEC, and company engineering standards.
- Monitor electrical energy consumption and implement energy efficiency initiatives.
- Coordinate with Production, Facility, Maintenance, Automation, and Project teams to support plant operations.
- Manage contractors, consultants, and vendors during electrical installation and maintenance activities.
- Lead emergency response for electrical failures to minimize production downtime.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, maintenance KPIs, and project progress reports.
- Mentor and develop Power System Engineers and electrical maintenance personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Electrical Power Systems, Utility Systems, or Industrial Power Distribution.
- Minimum 3 years in a Lead Engineer, Supervisor, or Managerial role.

- Medium Voltage (MV) & Low Voltage (LV) Systems
- Power Distribution
- Substations
- Transformers
- Switchgear
- Protection Relay Systems
- Generators & UPS
- Power Quality Analysis
- Experience performing load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and electrical system studies.
- Familiar with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, or similar power system analysis software.
- Strong understanding of IEEE, IEC, NEC, and Indonesian electrical regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects.
- Willing to be based in Batam.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (IPM/PE) certification is an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, data centers, semiconductor, renewable energy, or industrial plants.
- Knowledge of SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Power Monitoring Systems.
- Experience managing electrical CAPEX projects.
- Familiar with ISO 50001 Energy Management System.
- Experience leading teams of Electrical Engineers and Technicians.
