Project Manager Ocean (Import and Export) - Logistics (C-131791)

About The Company:

• The working venue is in Jakarta.

• Our client is a Japanese Logistics company. Currently, they are looking for Project Manager Ocean (Import and Export).
  

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee end-to-end Ocean Freight Export and Import operations to ensure smooth and efficient shipment handling.

• Lead, supervise, and develop the Ocean Operations team to achieve operational excellence and service quality targets.

• Monitor daily operational activities and ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and industry regulations.

• Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, customs brokers, trucking vendors, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure timely cargo movement.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing effective solutions and handling operational issues, escalations, and service inquiries.

• Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and SOPs to improve efficiency, productivity, and service performance.

• Monitor operational KPIs and prepare reports on team performance, shipment status, and operational improvements.

• Identify operational risks and proactively implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Support business growth by collaborating with the sales and customer service teams to provide operational expertise and solutions.

• Manage stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication with customers, partners, and internal teams.

• Ensure proper utilization of operational systems, including CargoWise and other logistics management tools.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and customer experience.

• Other tasks as assigned.
  

Job Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's degree from any major.

• Business-level proficiency in English.

• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in a freight forwarding company and minimum 3-4 years of managerial experience.

• Strong knowledge of Ocean Freight Export & Import operations

• Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
