Technical SEO expert

About the role :

North Star Network is an international media groupoperating in the global gaming and sports industry. We manage 50 multi-geographic websites with a high page volume (>1 million) and significant traffic (50 million page views per month across the entire network).

SEO is our main acquisition channel, and the technical SEO optimization of these sites is both a strategic opportunity and a major challenge for NSN.

As a Technical SEO Expert, you will join an Onsite team of 3 SEO specialists focused on the technical aspects of Search Engine Optimization. You will work closely with a team of 12 SEO specialists, a technical team, and business teams on a daily basis to optimize the performance of North Star Network's websites.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include ? :

Conducting SEO audits:

• Regular crawls: perform periodic analyses of the network's websites to detect and correct errors (5xx, 4xx, 3xx), identify trends, analyze page depth, identify orphan pages, check canonical tags, optimize internal linking through the creation of silos, implement structured data, and manage hreflang tags.
• Audit automation: develop automated processes for SEO audits to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Establish standardized SEO procedures to guide teams in their daily tasks.

Log analysis :

• Performance monitoring: Examine response codes, crawl volume, and page indexing to optimize the crawl budget.
• Continuous improvement: analyze logs to identify opportunities for performance and indexing optimization.

Indexing management :

• Use Google Search Console to track indexing and set up monitoring routines for teams.
• Old content management: consider archiving old articles and resolving issues related to orphan pages.

Development of internal tools:

• WordPress SEO plugins: design and optimize in-house plugins for WordPress, tailored to SEO requirements.
• Technical collaboration: work with the technical team to align developments with SEO objectives.

Integrating AI into our SEO practices:

• Implementing MCP: implementing SEO optimization processes with Claude (Programmatic Content Model).
• SEO prompts: creating optimized prompts to automate and improve SEO tasks via AI.
• Continuous monitoring:keeping up with technological and SEO developments to adapt processes and tools accordingly.

Your profil should include :

• 5+ years as an SEO (in 100% SEO positions), preferably having worked for an affiliate, with concrete results to show us.
• Proficiency in market tools (ahrefs, screaming frog, log tools) and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience with high-volume websites (>1M pages)
• Proficiency in Wordpress and understanding of CMS infrastructure
• Knowledge of HTML, SQL, and Python is a plus
• Professional English
